Privacy

LabPlanner is a laboratory layout planning tool. This page describes what it stores, who processes it, and how to get it back or remove it.

Who is responsible for your data

LabPlanner is operated by the entity below, which is the data controller for everything described on this page.

What is stored

• Your email address and an authentication record, so you can sign in.
• The projects you save: room geometry, equipment placement, rule configuration, and the compliance summary computed from them.
• Rendered images you choose to save to a project gallery (capped at 20 per project).
• Messages you send through the contact form, and the address you give for a reply.
• A count of which features you use — that a PDF was exported, a share link created — with nothing about the project attached. It tells us what to build next, and nothing else.
• When something breaks, a technical error report — what failed and where in the code — so it can be fixed. It carries no IP address, no project content, and no recording of your screen.
• If you subscribe: which plan you are on and when the period ends. Card details are never sent to us or stored by us — the payment provider handles them and we never see them.

What is not stored

No advertising or analytics trackers, and no session recording — we never capture your screen or replay what you did. A tracing underlay you upload is never saved and never exported: it stays in your browser unless you click the AI action that reads a room outline from it, which sends that one image to Anthropic for that request. On this site the only cookies are the one that keeps you signed in and the one remembering your language; if you go through checkout, the payment provider sets its own on its own domain, under its privacy policy.

Processors

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and the sign-in and password-reset emails. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
• Vercel — application hosting. Static files are served from its global edge network.
• Anthropic — only when you explicitly click an AI action; your room dimensions and brief are sent for that request, and the tracing underlay image too if the action you clicked is the one that reads a room outline from it.
• Resend — delivery of contact-form email.
• Sentry — error reports only, stored in the European Union, with personal data stripped before sending.
• Paddle — only if you subscribe: they take the payment as seller of record, hold your card details (we never receive them), and tell us which plan you are on.

Share links

A share link you create grants read-only access to that one project to anyone holding the link, until it expires (7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro). You can revoke a project’s links at any time from the project list, which invalidates every link previously issued for it.

How long we keep it

• Projects, saved renders and an uploaded logo stay until you delete them, or until you delete your account. Deleting the account removes the stored files first and then the rows.
• A share link stops working when it expires — 7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro — and revoking a project’s links invalidates every link already issued for it.
• Feature counters are kept as running totals, but they are de-identified when you delete your account: the reference to you is removed and an anonymous tally is left.
• Technical error reports are held by our monitoring provider under its own schedule and are removed when that lapses.
• While a subscription is live we keep the plan and the period end date. Invoices are held by the payment provider for as long as tax law requires.
• A message sent through the contact form stays in our support mailbox until it is no longer needed to answer you.

Access and deletion

Export any project as a file from the editor, and delete your account and all associated data from your account page.

Data processing agreement

If you use LabPlanner to handle personal data on behalf of your own clients, a data processing agreement is available on request through the contact form.
